Our aim is to make attending events as smooth and effortless as possible for all visitors. This page brings together key information about the venue’s accessibility, access routes and facilities.

Ticket Pricing

Alō wants to be an event venue for everyone, regardless of socio-economic situation. We encourage and support event organizers to offer tickets for paid events with sliding scale pricing or a Pay What You Can model.

Sensory load

  • Moving and flashing lights are used in events at Pylvässali.
  • Events may involve loud sound levels. We recommend using hearing protection, especially at music events.
  • During events at Pylvässali, Arina's cabinet room is kept as a quiet space. Please note that Arina is unfortunately not accessible for visitors with reduced mobility.
  • We kindly ask all visitors to avoid wearing strong fragrances to events.
  • Accessible entrance to Pylvässali is located at Pengerkuja. Pengerkuja is accessible from Pengerkatu and Kaikukuja by car
  • The exterior door handle height outside is 105 cm.
  • The exterior door handle height inside is 100 cm.
  • The doorway width with one door open is 55 cm, and with both doors open it is 109 cm.
  • The second door can only be opened from the inside; the doors are lightweight.
  • There is a 4 cm threshold upon entering through the door.
  • The narrowest point of the entrance corridor is 130 cm.
  • Front door ramp, width at narrowest point 150 cm:
  • Immediately after the front door there is a 156 cm long landing.
  • After the landing there is a 180 cm long ramp with a slope of 9.59 degrees (1:5,92, 16,9%).
  • Intermediate landing, length 165 cm.
  • After the intermediate landing there is a 165 cm long ramp with a slope of 9.59 degrees (1:5,92, 16,9%).
  • After the ramp there is a second intermediate landing, length 165 cm.
  • After the second landing there is an 80 cm long ramp with a slope of 8,52 degrees (1:6,69, 14,98%).
  • The ramp's load capacity is approx. 6 kN/m².
  • At the far end of the ramp there is a 1 cm threshold.
  • When entering from the corridor and when accessing the accessible restroom, one must pass between columns; the clearance between the columns is 122 cm.
  • The bar counter height in Pylvässali is 115 cm.
  • There is no space under the counter; the payment terminal can be extended over the counter if needed.
