Frederik Valentin – a leading voice in Scandinavian experimental pop
Far from his early days as a centre-stage enfant terrible, Copenhagen-based Frederik Valentin has turned away from his hedonistic beginnings, casting his eye instead toward introspective composition and cinematic song cycles. The shift has ushered in a new personal chapter and a wealth of collaborations. Working with Yung Lean, Loke Rahbek and Lust For Youth's Hannes Norrvide, among others, Valentin continues to cement his place in the loose canon of contemporary experimental pop artists emerging from Scandinavia. At the peak of his new creative run, he now presents his solo album Rock N Roll Will Never Die.
Support from the Finnish experimental underground
The evening is opened by three of the most interesting names in Finland's current experimental scene: murrettumeri, Romance Relic, and APEAK & Queendyster.
